Members enjoy a sports betting Super Sunday

The first weekend after Keith's break was very successful for members of Elliott's Premier Sports Betting:

GOLF: In the Alfred Dunhill Championship (from only 3 selections), RAFAEL CABRERA BELLO was given EW at 125/1 finished T4th to give members a huge EW profit:
"T25th here in both 2006 (1st GIR) and 2007 (4th GIR), so he clearly has the long game for this tough track. He played consistently well on the Challenge tour in 2008 with a win and four other top 5s, including T3rd in Kenya. He had an excellent junior record in Spain, and showed flashes of form when previously on the full tour in 2007. Now with more experience under his belt, he could well establish himself this season. His T10th in the Madrid Masters was encouraging and he will take inspiration from the 125/1 win here two years ago of his fellow countryman, Alvaro Quiros."

In America, the sole bet in the Merrill Lynch shootout on GREG NORMAN and CAMILO VILLEGAS was also a winning EW bet when they finished 3rd at 9/1.

FOOTBALL: There were winning bets in both the TV football games. The day's best bet, CHELSEA v WEST HAM UNDER 2.5 GOALS WON 6/5:
"West Ham are not a good side, however they can defend effectively and there have been under 2.5 goals in their last 5 away games - they include two games against two other top four sides (0-2 at Old Trafford and a 0-0 draw at Anfield). With Chelsea unable to break teams down at home and without Carvalho, Essien, Joe Cole and Drogba they have had some dodgy results in the Champions League losing 1-3 at Roma, losing at home in the Carling Cup after a 1-1 draw with Burnley, and in the Premier League losing at home to Arsenal and Liverpool and drawing 0-0 with Newcastle. This West Ham side can defend away from home and frustrate with a solid shot stopping goalie and their two banks of four in a 4-4-2 system with Cole and Bellamy to 'hit on the break'."

The sole bet in the PORTSMOUTH v NEWCASTLE game was unusual with MORE THAN 1.5 SECOND HALF GOALS WON 11/10:
"In Portsmouth's three home Premier League games and one UEFA Cup home game under Tony Adams, there have been 2 first half goals and 14 in the second half, and Pompey have conceded exactly two goals in each of those 4 games. That is a pattern that shows Pompey are better going forward than defending, and that goals are most likely at Fratton Park after the half time break. Newcastle have had 2 successive away 0-0 results after three away games in each of which they conceded two goals - but with Defoe and Crouch a real threat for Pompey and Michael Owen still scoring for Newcastle it's likely that as the teams tire and the game opens up there will be second half goals, especially as Collucini, the Newcastle CB looks slow, particularly on the turn."
So in Tony Adams' 5 home games there have now been 19 goals, with 17 of them in the second half!

AMERICAN FOOTBALL: Steve, our NFL expert, kept up his winning best bet run when his sole American Footall bet, given on Friday morning, won as Houston Txans beat the Titans.

"Congratulations on some fantastic football tipping this week"

This unsolicited comment above was received on Friday 14 November from Elliott's Premier Sports Betting member R.J.R. from Newcastle, who went on to say "I have joined your service recently and having won good money on our recent superb golf bets, extended my subscription period. These gains from the football will help to pay for a Happy Christmas."

Why was this member so pleased?

Keith has advised 5 winners from 7 football bets over the last three days - WON 7/4, WON 9/5, WON 1/1, WON 7/2, WON 7/1 for a combined level stakes profit of 13.05pts!

Here's some of the website analysis about these bets:

Tue 11 Nov: CARLOS VELA to score (Arsenal v Wigan) WON 7/4
"This guy is the nearest player to Robbie Fowler in his prime that I've ever seen. He's a brilliant natural finsiher with real pace, a potent left foot, superb timing and a coolness in the box."

Wed 12 Nov: DUNDEE UTD to beat Hibernian WON 1/1 (this is only the 4th bet to receive 4 stars under the recently revised staking plan - 3 have won)
"United have won their last 4 home games, they have played the 'Old Firm' twice this season and are unbeaten. Hibs lost at the weekend at home and are in poorer form than the home side."

Wed 12 Nov: SPURS to beat Liverpool WON 9/5
"At home Spurs will be the more motivated... Benitez will not be upset to leave this competition. Liverpool will play a reserve side as Benitez focusses on their early Saturday game at Bolton."

Thu 13 Nov: HT/FT DRAW/TRANMERE (Tranmere v Accrington) WON 7/2
"Rovers have played three home Cup ties this season - they have won all three 1-0 with a second half goal... in their last two home League One games thay won both 2-0 after it was 0-0 at half time."

Thu 13 Nov: LAST GOALSCORER: CHRIS SHUKER (Tranmere v Accrington) WON 7/1
"He's a key game breaker capable of turning a tight game... he's been Last Goalscorer in 2 of Rovers last 4 home games and in one of their last 3 away games."

£14,400: An incredible year of betting profits from The Professional

It's been a year since we introduced The Professional horse racing betting service to our clients - and what a year it's been! A steady accumulation of excellent profits, topped off with 2 winners from 3 bets in November (Sunniva Duke W5/1, Smalljohn W7/4), takes the overall profit since the service began on 15th November 2007 to an incredible £14,409.10.

Here's a breakdown of results from this incomparable racing tipster in more detail:

  • 9 profitable months from 12
  • 276 bets advised > 105 WINNING BETS
  • 38% Strike Rate
  • £9,544.09 profit backing to SP!!
  • Longest Winning Run: 5 consecutive winners

Another big Golf success: Alvaro Quiros wins Portugal Masters at 100-1

Keith Elliott's superb golf betting advice produced even more profits for clients in the Portugal Masters as ALVARO QUIROS WON 100/1 - the advice to members, given three days before the event on Monday's Early Birdie Line, shows the insightful analysis behind this latest winning golf bet:

"This guy has a real chance this week for 3 key reasons:
1. He's in very good form. He's made 4 cuts in a row and last week in Madrid he was T4th [7th for GIR] and his last 3 rounds were as good as the winner!
2. He is a massively long driver - he was 1st last week for Dr Distance at 328 yards!!, and this course, with four par 5s suits him well as he showed last year when he was 2nd at halfway after a 66-66 start. he finished 11th.
3. He is a proven winner on the Tour when he won the Dunhill in South Africa in just his fourth event after a superb 67 in the final round. Indeed, In Contention in the Irish Open this year he was 1st for GIR so his swing stands up well to Sunday pressure.
IN SUM: Clearly in form, proven on the track, and a winner with proven 'nerve' - so at 100/1, he's well worth an EW wager!"

And the profits didn't end there - two other bets were given for the Portugal Masters, a loser and ROSS FISHER T3rd at 18/1.

October has been another fantastic month for members of Elliott's Premier Sports Betting - read about Keith's successes in the World Cup qualifiers and last weekend's big golf winner, Charl Schwartzel W22/1 in the Madrid Masters.

The Early Birdie Line catches the worm with a 22-1 winner

A key feature of Keith Elliott's golf tipping service are his Early Birdie lines given on Monday afternoon and Tuesday. The Golf bets given then enable his members to get the best early prices. So every week, you get the best golf bets at the best early prices from the top golf tipster!

For example at 4pm on Monday afternoon October 6th Keith gave CHARL SCHWARTZEL at 22/1 as his BEST BET for the MADRID MASTERS - so three days in advance his members 'knew' the winner! He was backed into 20/1 so Keith's members had, as usual, got the best odds about a really good bet.

"The 24 year old South African is in terrific form at present - he was 5th in the British Masters, and then last week 13th in the Dunhill. His stats were good in all departments in both events. He enjoys playing in Spain where, after twice being in the top seven in the Spanish Open, he won it last year."

Schwartzel took the lead during the second round and went on to win easily by three shots.

So please remember that all Keith's big priced winners from the Gregory Havret at 100/1 last year to Geoff Ogilvy 55/1 and 25/1, Anthony Kim 50/1, Miguel Angel Jimenez 35/1, Justin Rose 35/1, Camilo Villegas 33/1, Kenny Perry 33/1 and KJ Choi 25/1 this year were all given on the legendary early birdie lines.

Perhaps the old proverb should be changed from the 'Early bird catches the worm' to 'The Early Birdie lines catch the worm'.

Sports Betting members enjoy Carling Cup shocks

Tuesday morning, and Keith Elliott advised members of Elliott's Premier Sports Betting that: "Two home teams have a sound chance at 2/1 or better of causing a 'shock' tonight,"... and he wasn't wrong!

His two recommendations: Burnley beat Fulham W11/5 and Rotherham beat Southampton W2/1.

It's a good time for Keith's sports backers with profit also coming from 'across the pond' in the NFL. Keith's man in the know, Steve, has provided 3 winning handicap bets from 4 (W8/11, W10/11, W10/11), with his pick for the coveted Superbowl, The Dallas Cowboys at 9/1, now firm favourites at 3/1.

Profits are still accumulating in the world of golf with recent success Camillo Villegas W33/1 in the BMW Championship being the latest in a long line of winners for 2008, which include... KJ Choi W25/1, Geoff Ogilvy W50/1 and W25/1, Justin Rose W35/1, Anthony Kim W50/1, MA Jiminez W35/1, Kenny Perry W33/1, Ryugi Imada W12/1... and so the list continues...

Latest big golf success: Villegas wins at 33/1

Another big golf winner for members of Elliott's Premier Sports Betting as Camillo Villegas won the BMW Championship at 33/1. And the profits didn't stop there with Football (Macedonia to beat Scotland W15/8 and to Win 1-0 W15/2), Rugby League (Wigan +14pts, W1/1) and Golf Three Ball (Jay Williamson W2/1) all coming home.

Read the full analysis behind each of these bets below:

CAMILLO VILLEGAS - WON 33/1
"This will be his fifth start on a Rees Jones layout this season and he's already posted three top 13 finishes. He has been putting well overall recently including in the USPGA (another Rees Jones re-design at Oakland Hills). Villegas had three consecutive top 10s (starting with the Deutsche Bank) in last year's FedEx play-offs, so there's no reason to think he can't go back-to-back again this year. Repaid E/W support for us last week (his fifth top 10 in 8 starts) and looks well set to do so again."

MACEDONIA TO BEAT SCOTLAND, CORRECT SCORE 1-0 - WON 15/8, WON 15/2
"Scotland are ravaged by injuries and they seem to be on the decline since the 'glory days' under Walter Smith and Alec McLeish. Indeed since last October their record is P5 W0 D2 L3 F3 A8 - and in their last home game against Northern Ireland they drew 0-0 when the visiters missed a penalty and had 10 men for the last half hour. Macedonia are no mugs - they drew in England and beat Croatia at home 2-0 in the Euro 2008 qualifying games and are unbeaten in their last six home games. They will have Lazio striker Goran Pandev and with temperatures set to be well over 90 degrees F the home side will have a real advantage."

WIGAN (+14 PTS) - WON EVENS
"Last Saturday's wembley weather - Saints last Saturday played in really hot humid conditions at Wembley where at least one player, Ade Gardner, suffered from heat exhaustion. That game physically will have drained them - and mentally it also won't be easy for the Saints to be really 'up' for this match. While Saints were getting exhausted at Wembley Wigan had their feet up resting.
Tonight's weather - The forecast today is for wet weather with plenty of rain.A heavy pitch will favour Wigan as the pacier Saints outfit will be slowed down and ball handling will be tricky as the ball becomes 'a piece of soap'. The last time Saints played at home was in wet weather against Warrington when they won by only a single point [17-16] and so failed to cover the handicap.
The return of key Wigan players - Ace goal kicker Pat Richards and strongman Phil Bailey return for Wigan which will give the Warriors a real boost.
Incentive - This is the final game of the two clubs season before the play offs. Saints will almost certainly win the Shield for being the League Winners in the regular season even if they lose tonight as they have a 51 point better GD compared to Leeds."

JAY WILLIAMSON R1 THREE BALL - WON 2/1
"There are three key reasons for this wager. First, Jay is a born and bred St Louis resident and as a member of the Bellerive Country Club he knows the course really well and definitely better than anyone else in the field. Second he has never won a tournament as he's the sort of player who plays his best golf in the early rounds - he has a good recent R1 record with 5 rounds in the 60s in his last 8 starts, that compares to just 1 in 11 for Laird and 3 out of 10 for Mallinger. Third, being the 'local lad' he will have plenty of support."

This proven formula for finding winners, which has shown profitable returns every year of monitoring since 1998, continues to create profit for members.

"It was a slow start to the year," said the developers, "but we have the data right here in front of us to show that such periods tend to occur most years. And what these figures also show are sustained periods of profitability as well.

"Overall the strategy has made money every year and this year we see as being no different ... after all, why should it be? Any member of the service should be satisfied they are part of a proven, calculated and consistent source of profits."

We agree. The service is doing exactly what it's supposed to and we expect no let-up once the Summer gets into full swing. July, August and September are traditionally good months for Precision Strategy. We anticipate more of the same in 2008.

Professional horse racing tips look a good bet

Take a tip from us. This is a service you want to take 'professional' betting advice from.

As a result of his shrewd horse racing betting tips, The Professional is providing members with plenty of big winners and lots of profit. In fact, from his last 7 bets there have been 6 winners (W2/1, W9/4, W85/40, W4/1, W5/4, W4/1). It's been a great run and we expect more winners as the Summer unfolds.

"Fantastic horseracing service, I paid for my membership in two days ... just two winning bets, and that's it! ... keep up the good work."

Those were the words of one satisfied member - and you could become one today by calling the office now on 01625 583 300 or by using the PayPal links on our payment page.

Make sure you don't miss out. There's tremendous racing ahead over the next few weeks including the Derby, Oaks and Royal Ascot meeting.

More about horse racing tips from The Professional

The service is characterised by a very personal view of racing from a backer who isn't afraid to oppose the crowd. The established view is not tolerated and the use of self-researched data, video evidence and ratings make for a service which can often go against the norm. Bets are given to members on a daily basis by local rate telephone message, email and SMS, with an average of 4-5 bets per week.

Football season nears end with even more winners

Yet again members of Elliott's Premier Sports Betting have been celebrating a series of successes with winners given this week at 12/1, 7/1 twice and 9/2.

Of Keith's 17 football bets in the last weekm 12 have won with a level stake profit of 28.3 points. The profits started to roll in with Crystal Palace's 1-0 victory over Bristol City W7/4 & W7/1, followed by the UEFA Cup final victory of Zenit St Petersburg over Rangers in the second half W11/10 & W9/2 plus Hull beat Watford W5/4 in the Championship play-offs!

The weekend saw the trend continue as Portsmouth beat Cardiff 1-0 W4/5 & W7/1 in the FA Cup final, Stockport beat Wycombe 1-0 W11/10 & W7/1 and Rochdale beat Darlington W11/10 followed by Exeter's victory over Cambridge on Sunday W13/8.

There was also further golf betting success in this week's AT&T Classic where Ryuji Imada W12/1 was given on the final day.

It has been a fantastic year so far, with members having already enjoyed winners at 55/1, 50/1, 33/1 twice and 25/1 in this year's golf tournaments, including the US Masters.

With the PGA Championship, the Champions League final and the second test between England and New Zealand coming this week, now is the time to become a member. Click here and you can try Keith's superb advice for a whole week absolutely free.

Another massive 50-1 winner for Elliott's Sports Betting

Elliott’s Premier Sports Betting members are once again enjoying a series of big priced golf successes - Anthony Kim W50/1 was Keith's outright selection in the Wachovia Championship and follows Justin Rose (Masters 1st Round Leader W33/1 DH) and Geoff Ogilvy (WGC CA Championship W55/1 and w/o Woods W25/1).

Kim's victory - by 5 shots !!! - rounded off another superb week for members that included MK Dons long standing ante-post football bet to win League 2 WON 9/1.

In fact, 6 of Keith's 7 football tips over the Bank Holiday weekend were successful (86% strike rate) including Chelsea to beat Newcastle in the second half WON 7/2 and Blackpool to draw with Watford WON 2/1.

Domestic season ends on a winning note

Another 5 winners from our free football tips on the Goldcall Saturday Seven this weekend - with victory for Middlesbrough, Bolton, Leeds, Bury and Wycombe. Of our losing bets - Walsall conceded a last minute equaliser against Hartlepool, while Doncaster slipped up at Cheltenham.

This week's results added another 3.67pts profit to our tally, which now stands at 19.24pts (42 bets, 27 winners, 64% strike rate).

Thursday 1 May 2008

The Goldcall Saturday Seven - Week 6

Welcome to the last Goldcall Saturday Seven of the current domestic season - we're still intending to keep your betting bank ticking over with a few selective bets for the remaining Premiership fixtures, play-offs and Euro 2008 but this will be the last 'Saturday Seven' until the season restarts in August.

Let's get cracking as we try to add to our 15.57pts profit from the last few weeks. We stake a single point on each bet. (Notes: 1=Home win, 2=Away win, X=draw. Best prices taken from odds.goldcall.com at 3.05pm on 01/05/08 - click the link under the odds to find the best current available price.)

PREM Middlesbrough v Portsmouth 1 @ 11/10 [Coral]
Click here for current best available odds
Boro are still not totally safe from the drop but with Pompey's focus fixed on the FA Cup final, we think Gareth Southgate's side will win and retain their Premier League status into the bargain.

PREM Bolton v Sunderland 1 @ 4/6 [PP, SkyBet, Tote, VC]
Click here for current best available odds
Have Bolton turned their season around just at the right time? A month ago they looked doomed but their recent run of form may see them safe. We pick them to take the 3 points that edge them closer to safety against a Sunderland side that ensured they keep their own place at the top table last weekend.

LGE 1 Cheltenham v Doncaster 2 @ 6/5 [Generally]
Click here for current best available odds
A crucial game for both sides - a win for Doncaster earns them automatic promotion while defeat or a draw for Cheltenham could see them relegated. We think Rovers will have too much for the Robins and plump for them to grab the win.

LGE 1 Leeds v Gillingham 1 @ 20/21 [Boyles]
Click here for current best available odds
Another critical fixture as Gillingham need to win to stand any chance of avoiding the drop. We don't think they'll manage it, and go for a Leeds home win to partially make up for the disappointment of failing to get their 15 points deduction overturned.

LGE 1 Walsall v Hartlepool 1 @ 10/11 [Generally]
Click here for current best available odds
Two sides with nothing left to play for this season - the Saddlers are managerless following Richard Money's departure last week but that won't stop them claiming the win against Pools.

LGE 2 Accrington Stanley v Bury 2 @ 19/10 [CentreBet]
Click here for current best available odds
The Shakers have been much improved under Alan Knill, while Accrington's home form this season has been very poor (14 home defeats). Go for Bury at almost 2/1.

LGE 2 Wycombe v Bradford City 1 @ 21/20 [CentreBet]
Click here for current best available odds
Wycombe have secured their play-off spot and we only assume they are available at an odds-against price under the assumption they'll be resting players. Bradford's season effectively ended weeks ago and we think the Chairboys will finish the regular season on a high.

Victorious Owls increase football betting profits

A successful weekend yet again for our Saturday Seven with 4 winning bets out of 7 (Sheff Wed W14/5, Sheff Utd W6/5, Bournemouth W21/20 and Oldham W11/8) , giving an overall profit for our free football tips of 3.42pts.

Disappointingly, of the three losing bets, two sides (Manchester City and Darlington) were leading 2-0 before surrendering their advantage to lose 3-2, otherwise our profits would have been even greater.

Overall stats for the Goldcall Saturday Seven now stand 4 profitable weeks out of 5, 35 bets advised, 22 winners (63% strike rate) for a total profit of 15.57pts.

Friday 25 April 2008

The Goldcall Saturday Seven - Week 5

Hold on to your hats! It's the penultimate week of the domestic football season and we're looking to improve on last weekend's showing by adding to the 12.15pts profit achieved over the last four weeks.

We stake a single point on each bet. (Notes: 1=Home win, 2=Away win, X=draw. Best prices taken from odds.goldcall.com at 10:00am on 25/04/08 - click the link under the odds to find the best current available price.)

PREM Manchester City v Fulham 1 @ 9/10 [Centrebet, VC]
Click here for current best available odds
We're looking to City, who we think will extend their winning streak to three consecutive games and effectively relegate Fulham in the process.

CHAMP Leicester v Sheff Wed 2 @ 14/5 [Centrebet]
Click here for current best available odds
The Owls have been the draw specialists in recent weeks - a run of form that has seen them unable to pull away from the relegation zone. This match really could decide the last relegation place from the Championship - and we think Wednesday have just enough to pull themselves clear.

CHAMP Sheff Utd v Bristol City 1 @ 6/5 [Centrebet], 11/10 [Gen]
Click here for current best available odds
The Robins have lost momentum at a crucial time while the Blades have finally found the form many expected them to produce from the start of the season. We expect the woes to continue for Gary Johnson's City.

LGE 1 Bournemouth v Crewe 1 @ 21/20 [Totesport], Evs [Gen]
Click here for current best available odds
Two more sides scrapping for survival and showing decent runs of form. The fact that Bournemouth are odds against at home with a run of five consecutive wins under their belts tips them in our favour.

LGE 1 Oldham v Cheltenham 1 @ 11/8 [VC]
Click here for current best available odds
The annual struggle against relegation is on again for Cheltenham, while Oldham's season is over. We think this is one of those games where the pressure will be too much for the side with something at stake and that Oldham will snatch the points.

LGE 2 Darlington v Dagenham 1 @ 10/11 [BlSq, Coral]
Click here for current best available odds
The Daggers are sliding perilously close to returning back to the Conference after only one season in the league, while the Quakers have been on a miserable run of form too. When all is said and done, Darlington should have enough about them to clinch the victory here.

LGE 2 Wrexham v Accrington 1 @ 13/10 [PP]
Click here for current best available odds
It's all over for Wrexham - midweek defeat to Hereford condemning them to the Conference next season. We expect them to go out with a bang in their last home game and defeat Accrington.

Profits in full flow for Tennis Betting members

Last week saw further success for members of Goldcall's dedicated Tennis Betting Service as David Ferrer WON 5/1 in the Valencia Open. Added to this, three match bet winners pushed profits for 2008 even higher.

So far this season just under £3,000 has been amassed from 18 shrewdly judged bets (11 winners = 61% strike rate).

"It's a selective service. Quality not quantity. Naturally we're pleased with the start to the year but there's a long way still to go ... and more profits still to be had! This is our favourite time of the year and we've a few very nice bets lined up," said Matthew Walton, head of the service and regular tennis columnist on betting.betfair.com/tennis/.

We're now into the main part of the season, building up to the French Open and Wimbledon so if you want to be a part of the action then call 01625 583 300 for current rates of this limited membership service.

End-of-season jitters hits the Saturday 7...

A disappointing weekend for our free football betting tips, with 3 winners from our 7 selections (WBA, Rochdale and Wycombe), meaning a small loss on the day of 1.62pts.

Our overall record now stands at 28 bets advised, 18 winners for a total profit of 12.15pts. Two weeks of the season remain, so we'll be looking to get back on the winning trail this coming weekend. Don't forget to check back on Friday for this weekend's selections.

Thursday 17 April 2008

The Goldcall Saturday Seven - Week 4

Coming to you live from Goldcall HQ, it's the Goldcall Saturday Seven - our free tips for the weekend football action. We've already built an encouraging profit over the last three weeks (21 bets, 15 winners, 13.77pts profit), and we'll be looking to add to that figure over the weekend with the free betting advice below.
We stake a single point on each bet. (Notes: 1=Home win, 2=Away win, X=draw. Best prices taken from odds.goldcall.com at 3:00pm on 17/04/08 - click the link under the odds to find the best current available price.)

PREM Middlebrough v Bolton X @ 9/4 Generally
A tough one to call when we look at Boro's Jekyll & Hyde season and Bolton's struggle to avoid the drop. The Teesiders have nothing to play for which could be to their advantage but Gary Megson's side showed enough tenacity against West Ham last week to suggest they may have got over their previous run of defeats. A point won't really help Bolton, but that's what we think they'll get!

PREM Wigan v Spurs 2 @ 7/4 VC
OK, so Spurs aren't exactly the form side in the Premier League at the moment - but at nearly 2/1 to win at the JJB they look very good value.

CHAMP Norwich v WBA 2 @ 6/5 Coral (11/10 Generally)
The Baggies have quickly overcome their FA Cup semi-final disappointment and seem the side most capable of grasping the nettle in the chase for the Championship title. Three points at Carrow Road will see them within touching distance of playing in the Premier League next season.

CHAMP Southampton v Burnley 1 @ Evs BetDirect, SJ
The Saints could have turned their season around just in time. A win over promotion hopefuls Bristol City and an away draw at Charlton suggest they have enough about them to avoid the drop into League One. Burnley's season ended last week with home defeat against Sheffield United so we're predicting Southampton will move 3 points nearer safety.

LGE 1 Carlisle v Southend 1 @ Evs VC (10/11 Generally)
Carlisle's home form is the best in the division and there is something to be said for the fact that teams having to travel long distances are weary from the trip and don't perform. Southend's journey to Cumbria is longer than most, and, coupled with Carlisle's home form and their desire to clinch automatic promotion this looks a road to nowhere for the Shrimpers.

LGE 2 Rochdale v Morecambe 1 @ 13/20 Centrebet
Even optimistic Dale fans were expecting their promotion challenge to falter when it came to playing their copious amount of games in hand. They've gone on to win them all and are the form side of the division. Morecambe's first season in the football league has been a success but they have nothing to play for now, and we expect a confident home win here.

LGE 2 Wycombe v Chester 1 @ 8/15 Coral, PP
Two good results in their last two games (a draw away at MK Dons and an away win at Grimsby) suggests Wycombe will comfortably make the play-offs - our prediction is that they'll be too good for struggling Chester.

The best bets in the World's biggest golf tournaments

It's been a superb start to the year for members of Elliott's Premier Sports Betting. In the two World Golf Championship tournaments and one Major played so far this season, Keith's members have enjoyed huge successes.

WGC Matchplay - Henrik Stenson [EW] 3rd 33/1
WGC CA Championship - Geoff Ogilvy [EW] W55/1 & without Tiger Woods W25/1
US Masters - Justin Rose (R1 Leader) [EW] W33/1 (dead heat)

Our Sports Betting clients have become used to big tournament success following a fantastic record in last years majors - W12/5 (USPGA), W40/1 (dead heat) (The Open) and T2nd 22/1 (US Open) - and with plenty more big tournament action still to come this year (beginning with the Verizon Heritage Classic this week) Keith's service is the only one you'll need to join.

Goldcall's Saturday Seven celebrates most profitable week yet!

The Goldcall Saturday Seven bandwagon keeps rolling along, as for the third consecutive week our 7 free tips yielded 5 winners (Man City W13/5, Sheffield Utd W2/1, Crystal Palace W4/7, Leeds W11/10 and Notts Co W6/5), giving us a total profit for the week of 5.47pts and an overall profit of 13.77pts.

This weeks losing bets (Wolves & Southend) both drew - a case of close but no cigar for those of us that placed the bets in an accumulator.

Don't forget to check back on Friday for the next Goldcall Saturday Seven.

Friday 11 April 2008

The Goldcall Saturday Seven - Week 3

It's almost the weekend and that means more free betting tips on the weekend football from Goldcall.

We're really at the business end of the season, where almost every game seems to have a bearing on promotion or relegation issues. It makes our bets a little trickier to advise: will a side looking unbeatable and on a roll suddenly get the jitters? How come a team who couldn't buy a win over the last few months suddenly look like world beaters when their resolve is called upon? Our Saturday Seven attempts to tiptoe around the potential banana skins whilst also looking for speculative value bets (last two weeks have seen us gain 8.3pts profit).

We stake a single point on each bet. (Notes: 1=Home win, 2=Away win, X=draw. Best prices taken from odds.goldcall.com at 9:30 on 11/04/08 - click the link under the odds to find the best current price.)

PREM Sunderland v Man City 2 @ 13/5 [VC]
City's lack of goals this season has been their downfall - they're averaging less than a goal a game away from home - but the pressure's off Sunderland after 3 straight wins and there is undoubted value in backing City to steal the points.

CHAMP Bristol City v Wolves 2 @ 11/5 [BetDirect, Better, SJ]
We said last week that the Robins weren't as good as their league position suggested and they promptly lost to Southampton. Wolves can enhance their own play-off prospects with a win, and put a major dent in City's automatic promotion hopes.

CHAMP Burnley v Sheffield Utd 2 @ 2/1 [CentreBet, ToteSport]
Both these sides can still mathematically reach the play-offs although the losers of this one are probably out of the shake-up completely. We fancy the Blades to take the points, effectively finishing Burnley's season in the process.

CHAMP Crystal Palace v Scunthorpe 1 @ 4/7 [Generally]
Palace seem a much tougher prospect under Neil Warnock - expect them to condemn Scunthorpe to relegation while enhancing their own play-off propects.

LGE 1 Leeds v Carlisle 1 @ 11/10 [BetFred, Boyles, ToteSport]
The game of the day in League One - Leeds are finding form under Gary McCallister and we reckon Carlisle will have to wait a while to confirm their promotion.

LGE 1 Southend v Northampton 1 @ 8/11 [Generally]
Southend are League One's form side and a win here will cement their play-off spot. Our opinion is that they'll manage all three points against the Cobblers, who have nothing at stake.

LGE 2 Notts Co v Accrington 1 @ 6/5 [Generally]
The Magpies are desperate for a win as they attempt to drag themselves clear of the relegation places. Accrington are safe - so we've plumped for a home victory.

The Goldcall Saturday Seven - Week 2

It's time for the second edition of Goldcall's Saturday Seven - and we're looking to build on last week's winning start with another profitable set of selections for this week's football.

Remember: we stake a single point on each bet, with another single point placed in an accumulator. (Notes: 1=Home win, 2=Away win, X=draw. Best prices taken from Oddschecker at 11:20 on 04/04/08)

FA CUP West Brom v Portsmouth (Neutral venue) - Portsmouth in normal time @ 10/11 [PP, Hills]
Could Portsmouth's name be on the cup? They'll never have a better chance and we predict the Baggies will be left to concentrate on gaining promotion back to the Premiership.

PREM Fulham v Sunderland 2 @ 9/4 [VC]
A speculative bet given Sunderland's poor away form, but they've just strung together back-to-back wins, and this game could seal Fulham's relegation.

CHAMP Sheffield United v Leicester City 1 @ 21/20 [ToteSport]
The Blades have been really disappointing this year, but then Leicester have been even worse, so we're tipping Kevin Blackwell's side to take the 3 points.

CHAMP Southampton v Bristol City X @ 23/10 [Bet365, ToteSport]
Two sides who aren't quite as bad (Southampton) or as good (Bristol City) as their respective league positions suggest. In a game that could go either way, the draw seems the value bet.

LGE 1 Nottm Forest v Cheltenham 1 @ 8/13 [PP, SkyBet, Coral]
May seem an obvious bet, but Forest blow hot and cold and this certainly isn't a home banker. Victory here will seem them limp towards confirming their play-off spot.

LGE 2 Rochdale v Grimsby 1 @ 10/11 [Generally]
Dale's home form has been their Achilles heel this season, but three staight wins at Spotland have seen them cement their place in the play-offs and Grimsby will have a post-JPT hangover to contend with too.

LGE 2 Rotherham v Brentford 1 @ 11/8 [SkyBet]
The Millers have had a miserable couple of months and seem bereft of confidence. But they still have some decent players at this level and there's value to be had in their mid-table clash with Brentford.

Tuesday 1 April 2008

Winning start for Goldcall's Saturday Seven

5 winners from our 7 advices at the weekend: Portsmouth W4/5, Leicester W10/11, Macclesfield W6/5, Notts Co/Mansfield Draw W12/5 and Rangers W5/4 producing a total profit of 4.56pts. Our remaining bets saw Hull comfortably beat Watford while Derby only drew with Fulham to seal their relegation.

Make sure you log on this Friday for our free tips for this weekend's football.

Friday 28 March 2008

The Goldcall Saturday Seven

Starting today and continuing until the end of the season, we're giving all our readers access to Goldcall's weekend football tips, picking the bets we think give the best value. We back all the tips individually and in an accumulator:
(Notes: 1=Home win, 2=Away win, X=draw. Best prices were taken from Oddschecker at 9.45am 28/03/08)

PREM Portsmouth v Wigan 1 @ 4/5 [Bet365, VC, Hills]
Pompey to continue their push for a UEFA Cup place.

PREM Derby v Fulham 1 @ 21/10 [VC]
The Rams to pick up their second (and probably last) win of the season.

CHAMP Hull v Watford 2 @ 2/1 [Bet365, Tote, BlSq]
Third v Fourth but we think the Hornets could have the edge in this one.

CHAMP Leicester v Scunthorpe 1 @ 10/11 [B365, BetDirect, SJ]
Expect the Foxes to hammer the nails into Scunthorpe's relegation coffin.

LGE 2 Macclesfield v Accrington 1 @ 6/5 [Generally]
Macc have found some form at home of late and 3 points here will see them close to safety.

LGE 2 Notts County v Mansfield X @ 12/5 [Bet365, BetFred, Lads]
Local derby between two sides desperate for points - we think they'll only get one each.

SPL Rangers v Celtic 1 @ 5/4 [VC]
Key fixture in the push for the title - Rangers have the slight advantage.

Ogilvy weathers storm to land 55/1 victory

Members of Elliott's Premier Sports Betting were given an Easter bonus with a hugely profitable 55/1 victory for Geoff Ogilvy in the WGC event at Doral.

Here's the in-depth analysis that Keith gave to his members on Monday's Early Birdie Line (3 days before the start of the tournament, enabling his members to get the best possible price of 55/1 EW in the Outright market and 25/1 EW in the 'without Woods' market):

1. Ogilvy has found his form in the last couple of weeks - he's finished 10th in the PODS Championship, and 14th yesterday in the Arnold Palmer at Bay Hill after a superb 66 in R4.
2. He was T4th for GIR last week - a key stat as accurate approach play is the key at Doral.
3. Last week his putting improved round by round - he took 33-31-28-27 putts in the four rounds.
4. Last year here Ogilvy was T3rd - he was the ONLY player in the field then to go under par on both the par 3s and the par 4s yet he managed only par on the sixteen par 5s. Put another way he was SIX shots better than Tiger on the par 3s & 4s yet Tiger was TEN shots better than Geoff on the par 5s!! So can Geoff improve on the par 5s this week compared to last year? YES - after all yesterday in his final round at Bay Hill he had a birdie and an eagle on the two par 5s.
5. Last year at Bay Hill before playing at Doral he was 14th and this year he's also finished 14th so there's every chance that Geoff might play as well as last year especially if the winds blow.

IN SUMMARY: Geoff is now in the form he was in last year when he got to Doral and this three time US winner who is a big tournament specialist with US Open and a WGC Matchplay to his credit looks just the sort of player who could well play really well here again this year. Worth a bet in both the outright and w/o Woods markets. 50/1 or more looks a cracking EW price in the outright market.
